Today Mike and I were chatting over dinner and discussing our future family. We are so incredibly excited to be parents and have kids to share our life with someday. And I mean lets face it, we are totally in parent mode anyway. We wake up early everyday, sleeping in is nearly nonexistent in our household. We love being outdoors every season whether it be camping (making s'mores of course!), hiking, biking, running, swimming (water parks ... hello!), skiing (downhill or cross-country), sliding, skating (Rideau Canal!), need I say more? We get giddy for holidays and decorate the house accordingly. We watch Christmas specials over and over again every year and joke about them the rest of the year. We rarely stay up late or go socializing! And it's true, we are those crazy cat parents ... we treat Maple like a child ... and this has got to stop! She has a Halloween costume and a Christmas outfit, neither of which she is fond of.
So today Mike and I have made the decision to pursue adoption. After all, we adopted Maple and look at the happiness she has brought us!

We crave the sound of children's laughter and the pitter patter of tiny feet running through our home!
